The Society of St. Vincent de Paul's Council of Louisville has 48 church-based conferences located throughout southern Indiana and the Archdiocese of Louisville. Following the example of St. Vincent de Paul, the Vincentians offer assistance to all who need help. Volunteers called Vincentians provide counseling and direct financial support for rent, utilities, food goods, and services to the poor and needy in their communities. In the unique one-on-one service, volunteers call on people in their homes, sitting down with them and addressing their needs.

700 Volunteers helped 5,700 families in home visits last year. Additional services include food pantry assistance, hospital and nursing home visits, and prison visits. There were 142 new members in 32 conferences during this past year.
