GET INVOLVED

Discover the joy in serving others. We are always in need of enthusiastic volunteers to serve meals in our Open Hand Kitchen, work in our Clothes Closet, and help with a variety of other indoor and outdoor tasks at our inner-city campus. Our volunteers range in age from high school groups to retirees. To find out how you can help, please call (502) 301-8693.

BE AN AD SPONSOR

Business owners, please consider purchasing an ad in our program booklet for the 2008 St. Vincent de Paul National Meeting. More than 600 people from across the country will travel to Louisville Sept. 23-27, 2008 for this high-profile event. To find out more, please call (502) 301-8693.

WALK IT OFF

The first ever national Friends of the Poor Walk will be held on the Feast Day of St. Vincent de Paul, Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, coinciding with the 175th Anniversary of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Gather pledges and joinothers on this walk to raise money to help the poor in our community.

GIVE TO OUR ONLINE AUCTION PROGRAM

Many generous people donate very valuable things to our organization. As the recipients of that generosity, we feel the obligation to maximize the full sales potential of these items by selling them online rather than in our Thrift Stores. For antiques, collectibles, and other special donated items valued at more than $50, we have partnered with www.MissionFish.org, e-Bay’s program for nonprofit organizations. Once your donated item has sold, we will inform you of its selling price. You will then be able to use that amount for tax-deduction purposes. For more information, please call (502) 301-8676.
