St. Jude Women's Recovery Center is a 30-bed halfway house for homeless
women who are in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Their goal is to
move
from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
Residents are required to attend self-help meetings and evening classes, complete
assigned chores, and meet curfews. Case management services are available,
as well as counseling, assistance with family reunification, on-site health
care and recreational activities.
The center can accommodate women with physical and emotional problems. A professional
staff is on hand. The staff includes a program manager who is a certified alcohol
and drug counselor, case managers, an administrative assistant and program
aides on duty 24 hours a day.
Roberts Hall offers long-term transitional housing for homeless women who express a sincere desire to improve their lives. Our goal is to develop self-sufficiency guidelines needed for the residents to function as independently as possible.
Roberts Hall has 25 efficiency rooms. Residents must sign a lease and agree
to follow the rules and regulations of Roberts Hall and be alcohol and drug
free. Residents stay an average of two to three years, which is based on
their assessment needs. Case management services are available.
De Paul Apartments offer transitional housing for homeless women with
children. These two bedroom apartments are fully furnished and equipped with
all necessary kitchen supplies as well as bed and bath linens. A laundry room
is located on the first floor. The residents also have a large, fenced-in playground
at their disposal.
The women pay a program fee which is based on 30%
of their income. Utilities are provided at no cost
to the residents. DePaul Apartments are filled by
a large number of St. Jude graduates who are being
reunited with their children. Residents must engage
in case management while in this program.
