A huge thank-you to Zach Hensley and Pat Scrivener, two Eagle Scout candidates with Boy Scout Troop 71, for choosing projects at St. Vincent de Paul! Both boys are recent St. X graduates. Zach's project was a drain installation at DePaul Apartments for homeless women and their children, while Pat's project focused on landscaping for erosion control at St. Jude Women's Recovery Center.

Dozens of volunteers--adults and teens alike--worked all day on the projects. Ed Wnorowski, St. Vincent de Paul's executive director, is also active in Boy Scouting, and serves as an Eagle Scout co-adviser. "The beauty of this is that the Scouts are providing much-needed services to our campus while saving us money--freeing up some of our financial resources for other client programs and assistance," Wnorowski said.
