Donations are our only source of goods for our community stores. We accept
donations of gently-used clean clothing, fashion accessories, including shoes,
belts, hats, purses, ties, and costume jewelry; working appliances, including
refrigerators, freezers, stoves, toasters, irons, mixers, can openers, and
coffee makers; computers, televisions, VCRs, camcorders, stereos and computer
games; furniture, dishes, flatware and home accessories, including curtains,
pillows and pillow cases, nick-nacks, flowers, etc.; toys, books, stuffed animals,
puzzles, games and children's clothing.
We welcome items from estate clean-outs, as well as office and store closings.
Please call one week in advance to schedule a pick up. Donors may bring items
to any one of our two locations Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:30
p.m.
All donations are tax-deductible.
For free pickup at your home or business, please call our
donation hotline at (502) 589-7837. Pickups are restricted
to large items or large quanitity of clothing.
General
Donation Guidelines
All
items should be clean and usable. No water damaged goods.
All clothing should be boxed or in bags. No clothes on hangers.
No soiled or dirty couches or chairs or items in need of
repair, please. Below is a list of items
that we are unable to accept for donations.
Bedroom
Items that we cannot accept:
Waterbeds, frames or mattresses. Damaged or soiled mattresses,
boxed springs, beds, bed frames or coiled springs. No hospital
beds.
Kitchen
Items that we are unable to accept: "Drop-in"
or "built-in" appliances, disposals, double ovens,
trash compactors, ice machines, kitchen cabinets, microwaves,
and dishwashers.
Bathroom
Items that we cannot accept: Toilet bowls, urinals,
sitz baths, portable whirlpools, spa tubs, and bath/tub
shower stalls.
Other
Household Items that we are unable to accept: Used
Carpet, used carpet padding, custom made drapes and valances,
furnaces, water heaters, gas space heaters, A/C units, console
TV's and radios, pool tables, ping pong tables, and exercise
equipment.
Other
Items that we are unable to accept: Pianos and
organs, copy machines and fax machines, duplicating equipment,
computer equipment, office furniture, school text books,
medical supplies, and any kind of construction materials
including; dry wall, shingles, doors, paneling ceiling tiles
or floor tiles.
