The Society of St. Vincent de Paul operates two thrift stores and one processing
center/warehouse. Merchandise is given away to those in need through a voucher
system by local parish conferences (made up of local parish members) and by
on-campus programs to individuals who are unable to pay or "in crisis". Surplus
goods are offered to those with limited income and the "frugal bargain shopper"
in our stores. Income from sales supports this program and surplus income from
sales helps support our other programs.
All merchandise is donated by private individuals and businesses. Those goods
include useable furniture, working appliances, household items, clean ready-to-wear
clothing and electronics.
All donations are tax-deductible.
All stores are located at 1029 S. Preston and 248 E. Market
Streets and 2217 Hikes Lane in Louisville, KY and at 651
Eastern Blvd. in Clarksville, Indiana. The warehouse/processing
center is located at 1029 S. Preston Street. Store hours
are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The warehouse and processing center is closed on Saturday.
For home pickup, call (502) 589-7837, Monday through Friday.
