Our Mission
Respecting the dignity of each person, St. Vincent de Paul Louisville offers hope and help to families and individuals in crisis, including those who are affected by poverty, homelessness, addiction, and mental illness, so that they may achieve more stable and fulfilling lives.
What We Do
St. Vincent de Paul operates a community soup kitchen (the Open Hand Kitchen), a food pantry, a men’s homeless shelter (Ozanam Inn), three local thrift stores, an after-school enrichment center (Family Success Center) for disadvantaged children, as well as supportive housing (apartments and case management) for homeless families and adults.
In addition, 47 parish-based SVDP Conferences throughout the metro area provide person-to-person assistance to people who need emergency assistance with rent, mortgage and utility bills, food, and other necessities.
