St. Vincent de Paul will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey with all the trimmings at noon on Thursday, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day), in the Open Hand Kitchen, 1026 S. Jackson St.
The meal is free and open to all in the community who are in need. St. Vincent de Paul’s Open Hand Kitchen serves more than 15,000 free, hot meals to the poor and homeless each month.
Volunteers will serve the meals, bus tables, offer drink refills and help guests eating in our dining room. To ask about volunteer opportunities on Thanksgiving Day and at other times during the upcoming holiday season, please contact our Director of Volunteers and Conferences, Donna Young.
If you would like to provide food, such as turkeys or other items, please contact Charlie Shunnarah, executive chef of the Open Hand Kitchen.
To make a financial gift in support of holiday meals, please contact our Development Director, Angela Champion Sprowl.
