The Open Hand Kitchen relies heavily on volunteers. Every day groups of volunteers come in at lunch and at dinner to serve food to those in need who come to find a hot meal. Meals are served to anyone who comes shows up at our doors. The Open Hand Kitchen serves more than 120,000 meals on an annual basis. If you are interested in exploring opportunities to help, contact Donna Young at (502) 301-8688; dyoung@svdplou.org.

Hi Michael, We have an abundance of volunteers for tomorrow morning, but you are welcome to join us to show your daughter what we do and to help out if and where it may be needed — i.e. assist clients who might need help (those in wheelchairs, or those with small children), clear tables, etc. Thanks for thinking of us.
