LOUISVILLE, KY — November 17, 2022
St. Vincent de Paul Louisville’s Open Hand Kitchen welcomes Mayor Greg Fischer, on November 24, 2022, which is Thanksgiving Day.
The Open Hand Kitchen will serve shelter clients a Thanksgiving dinner from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and Mayor Fischer will stop by from 12 p.m. to 12:20 p.m. to greet guests. He and his family have often stopped by St. Vincent de Paul’s campus for Thanksgiving, making it a holiday tradition.
The Open Hand Kitchen serves free meals to our shelter clients as well as the poor and working poor in our community. It is open 365 days a year, serving two nutritious meals each day, at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. The cafeteria-style dining room offers our guests an entrée, vegetables, salad, dessert, bread, and beverage.
