LOUISVILLE, KY (WHAS11) – In the spirit of giving, St. Vincent de Paul continued its annual outreach project Sunday called “Gifts from the Heart.”
The program provides food and clothes to homeless families in Louisville.
“It feels really good to be able to help someone fulfill their kids’ Christmas. It really is a great feeling to help someone find pajamas for their kids that they open that on Christmas morning there’s going to be a huge smile on their face,” Miriam White of St. Vincent de Paul said.
St. Vincent de Paul says this winter it will be opening its doors to any homeless person in need of shelter anytime the wind chill drops below 35 degrees.
