  • Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast at St. Agnes Parish Center

On Friday, April 17, we had 40 people attend our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast at St. Agnes Parish Center.

During the morning, volunteers enjoyed breakfast together and heard from our staff. We shared a snapshot of all that they have achieved and presented awards to recognize their accomplishments.

“The motto of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is that ‘No act of charity is foreign to the society,’” said Jennifer Clark, CEO & Executive Director. “It takes a lot to keep our Special Works Campus operating efficiently every day. Our volunteers have not served in vain. It is time and energy well spent, and is making a difference in our community.”

    The following awards were presented:

    • Heart Award: Jeannie Donovan
    • Outreach Award: Mike Crady
    • Alumni Award: Dick Scherrer
    • Donna Young Cicchiello Award: Rick Tonini

There were newer volunteers, and those who have served since the turn of the century.

“For the volunteers who have served for more than 20 years, they are the foundation of this mission, and their long-term commitment has shaped and sustained this organization for generations,” said Nicola Peck, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. “They have seen countless organizational changes over the years, and have remained constant in their commitment to the mission.”

We are grateful to all our volunteers who serve with compassion and dignity. You make our mission possible!

    Did you miss it?

The good news is that we have another Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, May 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Parish Center. Space is limited, so reserve your spot at your earliest convenience. Click here to RSVP.
