St. Vincent de Paul Louisville (SVDP) sent clothing and toys left from Santa Shop to those affected by the tornadoes that hit the Mayfield area of Kentucky overnight on December 10, 2021. A staff member and one of the Santa Shop coordinators took a large truck down to the Mayfield area on Wednesday, December 15.
“We have new clothing that could help the children of the region,” explains CEO Ed Wnorowski. “Our mission is to house, feed, and serve those in need with compassion and dignity. If we can offer this support to the Mayfield area, we succeed in living our mission.” The truck is being donated by Sternberg Truck Rental and was loaded with the clothing and other supplies gathered by staff on the truck on the 14th. The truck left early Wednesday morning.
