Bailey, a courageous client who is about to complete her stay at our St. Jude Women’s Recovery Center, appeared on camera this morning in a taped interview at WAVE3 News.
She accompanied Pam Scott, program manager for St. Jude. The two were interviewed by popular TV personality Dawne Gee, for her news program Wave3 Country, which will air this weekend.
The segment gave the women a chance to promote the good work being done at St. Jude, our 30-bed, residential treatment facility for women struggling with substance abuse or alcoholism. Pam talked about the structure and effectiveness of our program, now in its second year of a partnership with Jefferson Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center (JADAC).
Bailey, meanwhile, shared her inspiring story of recovery from methamphetamine addiction and talked about the love and support she received at St. Jude after her mother’s tragic suicide earlier this year. She encouraged other women who need help overcoming
Women in our Recovery Program will participate in the Louisville Dragon Boat Festival Races on Saturday, Sept. 10th at Waterfront Park.
