No, not that Beyonce.
This one’s a maroon, 1994 Volvo with a Sacred Heart window sticker and quite a few miles on it. Affectionately nicknamed “Beyonce,” her owners, Timothy Shull and Mary Jo White, donated her to St. Vincent de Paul late last year.
SVDP’s Donated Vehicle program is a wonderful way to make a meaningful contribution to our mission. Your tax-deductible gift means that someone in need may be able to purchase your car at an affordable price, and the cash we receive for it will help fund the programs and services that fight hunger, homelessness, poverty and addiction here in our community.
We make it easy for you. Just call us to donate a car, truck, boat, motorcycle or camper. Even if the vehicle is no longer in running condition, we can sell it for parts or to someone who likes to work on cars. We offer free towing to pick up your vehicle, and we will handle all of the paperwork, including title transfer. Contact Wanda Selph at 502-589-7837.
In case you were hoping to put a ring on it and nab Beyonce for your own, she’s not for sale. At the donors’ request, the still-road-worthy Volvo is being retained by SVDP as a much-needed additional means of transportation for our clients and workers.
