See who else has joined our staff in recent weeks.
It is with great enthusiasm that I join the staff of St. Vincent de Paul Louisville as the new Director of Development. I am a Louisville native and have worked as a fundraiser in our community for 12 years with previous work in health and human service organizations like Uspiritus and Metro United Way.
My passion for community service extends back to my childhood, growing up at the St. Athanasius parish. My grandparents were leaders at the St. A St. Vincent de Paul. When I was six years old, I first went with my grandmother on a home visit to deliver a food basket to a single mother and her daughter. The family lived not one mile from our home. They were just like us but needed compassion and help. Serving the least of us made a lasting impression on me that I have never forgotten.
As Development Director, I hope to be an agent of change and to further the mission of SVDP, to continue to develop strong relationships, and to continue to grow our ability to change lives for the most vulnerable individuals and families. I am humbled by the loyalty and generosity of SVDP donors and volunteers. Although so much great work is being done, there is still so much more we need to do.
There is no greater gift of the heart than planned giving for the future of serving the poor in Louisville. Leaving a bequest or planning a gift to St. Vincent de Paul creates a life-changing legacy of hope for the future. Making your wishes known through a will assures that your intentions are fulfilled and allows you to plan your gift for the greatest legal and tax advantages to your heirs.
To learn more, please feel free to contact me any time. I’d love to hear about your personal reasons for being a loyal SVDP donor and even give you a tour of our campus. I can be reached at 502-301-8682 or at asprowl@svdplou.org.
Warm wishes,
Angela Champion Sprowl
SVDP Director of Development
