Joyce Johnson is the Lead Program Aide at Waypoint, St. Vincent de Paul Louisville’s Youth Transitional Housing Program. She is pictured with Chris and his new bike. Someone generously gifted a bike to Chris so that he could get to and from work. Ms. Joyce, as people at Waypoint call her, said, “Chris has been working hard to gain transportation to and from work and other places. He looks up to me as a grandmother figure and knows that he can come to me about any concerns and knows that I will make things happen.” With his new bike, Chris was able to take another step forward in his journey, but now much quicker. Quentin Childers, Associate Director of Crisis Housing, said, “Chris was extremely happy to get the bike and we were happy for him.”
