Our Thrift Stores play a vital role in supporting our mission, with busy foot traffic from donors and shoppers.


Every purchase helps families facing hardship, supporting our programs to fight homelessness and food insecurity.


We also focus on carefully managing donations to ensure a quality experience for customers.


Instead of ending up in landfills, gently-used goods were recycled, given new homes, and the funds benefited those in need.

 

Join our Loyalty Program! Earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Collect 100 points and receive a $10 coupon on your next purchase at any Thrift Store.

We do not accept donation drop-offs at our Special Work Campus or Shively Center Thrift Store. However, you may drop off donations at our other three Thrift Store locations Tuesday through Saturday (hours vary per store). Schedule a free pick-up for larger items.

    New Drive-Thru opening at Dorsey Plaza Thrift Store

    On Tuesday, Oct. 6, a much more efficient drive-thru experience opens at our Dorsey Plaza Thrift Store. Because of an anonymous donor, we were able to construct a new drive-thru canopy. 

    Instead of bringing your donations to the front left of the store, you can drop off any donations by driving around to the back of the store (please refer to the rendering below). 


    Drive-Thru Directions

    1. From Shelbyville Rd., please turn onto S. Dorsey Lane into the back parking lot area.
    2. Follow directional signage to the covered canopy area at the back of the building. 
    3. Staff or volunteers will assist you under the  canopy to keep items protected from weather.
    4. After dropping off donations, please continue driving (rather than making a U-turn) and exit right onto S. Dorsey Lane.

7 Reasons to Visit our Thrift Stores

  1. Every purchase goes to our programming for those in need.
     
  2. Not everything you buy needs to be new. You can find quality items at an affordable price. Instead of an item being thrown away, you give it a new home.
     
  3. Donating to us declutters your home. It keeps items from ending up in landfills. Often, thrift stores throw away unused items. Our Warehouse Department recycles them to developing countries.
     
  4. Your donations are a tax write off. Just ask one of our team members for a tax receipt when you drop off donations or we pick-up furniture or large items at your home.

  5. You employ nearly a quarter of our staff. Our Thrift Stores and Warehouse Departments consist of about 25 people.
     
  6. With our Loyalty Program, you get one point for every dollar spent. When you get 100 points, you receive a $10 coupon. 
     
  7. Make someone's day by purchasing a gift card. You can visit any Thrift Store location to get a physical gift card for friends and family ($5-$500).
