Awards at the Feb. 10 event were presented to Dick Scherrer of St. Agnes Church’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference; Martha Thomas of St. Rita Church’s conference; and Wanda Binder of the St. Paul Church conference.
In a press release from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, its executive director, Ed Wnorowski, noted that “the stories of the daily struggles of those who come to us for help never get easier to hear or less challenging to serve.”
“We are here to say ‘thank you’ for all that (the volunteers) have done and will continue to do because of your Vincentian spirit and hearts.”
