Volunteer at out Thrift Stores

When you say yes to volunteering at one of our three Thrift Store locations, you’re signing up for a lot more than simply sorting gently used items. You’re fighting homelessness and food insecurity because 100% of the proceeds are used to support our programs and services. On the other side of every purchase is an individual or family struggling to make ends meet. That’s why we want to steward every donation and ensure every customer has a quality experience and easily finds the items they need. Rather than gently used goods finding their way into landfills, these funds go directly to those in need!

We have three Thrift Stores locations listed below

1. Hikes Point: 2217 Hikes Lane, Louisville, KY 40218
2. Dorsey Plaza: 10280 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40223
3. Bittersweet Shopping Center: 8633 Preston Highway, Louisville KY 40219 (does not need volunteers at this time) 
    

Serving Days: Tuesday through Saturday

Serving Times: Between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (we prefer 2 to 4 hour shifts)

What to Expect:

• Sorting donations such as clothing, housewares, toys, etc.
• Testing electronics
• Assisting customers with inquiries
• Cleaning
• Do not wear open toe shoes
